Description from the seller
A strongly contemplative work that evokes a microscopic section of ancient rock, a topographic map, or the aerial view of an estuary. A perfect meeting point between the concrete force of matter and the delicacy of color.
The work presents itself as a fluid and dynamic visual space, at the border between geological landscape and atmospheric dimension. A diagonal, organic movement crosses the surface, tracing a trajectory that rises from the lower left corner to the upper right. The structure does not arise from defined outlines, but from the spontaneous and fluid encounter of color masses.
Giusy Curto Pelle is a young entrepreneur. She practices her main profession in the artistic field, being a doctor in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage, but she has always nurtured a deep interest in researching her own artistic and expressive form.
She began her training by enrolling at the Filippo Juvara Art Institute in San Cataldo, choosing the experimental specialization in Cataloging and Survey of Cultural Heritage. After obtaining her diploma, she decided to continue her studies at the University of Palermo, at the Faculty of Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences, following the Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage course.
The love for the artistic world from a creative point of view, from which she had been distanced for several years, has brought her back now to approach this sector again. Her momentary artistic research moves toward the right blend of tradition and innovation in search of her own artistic language.
In her works one sees the presence of traditional techniques, materials, and subjects elaborated in a modern key with a contemporary style and language.
Her research and study of materials continually lead her to carry out numerous experiments; we thus see the use of flat-toned or shaded color interwoven with patches of material painting, which she uses to make signs on the canvas almost creating a new textured relief, often highlighted by the use of metallic leaves.
The canvas is sent rolled and carefully packed for safe transport.
Overall dimensions: 120x120x0.1 cm.
Signed on the back.
Equipped with a certificate of authenticity.
If there are color differences, they may be due to variations in the sensors of the various devices on which the image is viewed.
