Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born in 1966) is a Marche-born artist whose life is rooted in artisanal mastery. For forty years he worked in the shadow of his workshop in a small municipality among the hills of the Marche region, specializing at the highest levels in resin processing, varnishing, and chroming.
The turning point of his life comes with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and the suspension of time become an emotional catalyst, pushing him to unleash the artistic urgency he had always harbored. What for decades had been "only" a technique of excellence thus becomes the means to give life to modern, vibrant, and ironic pop sculptures. Today Sagrasse has transformed his know-how as an artisan into a recognized language of contemporary art, proving that it is never too late to give voice to one's most authentic talent.
Title - Calavera Pop Art
Technique: resin
Dimensions: 30x23x15
Condition: new.
Certificate of authenticity - hand-signed.
Edition: Fuchsia 299ex.
The artwork will be carefully packed and shipped with a courier service with tracking.
In recent years his work has received important public and private recognitions, culminating in participation in prestigious exhibitions. Notable among these are his presence at the Contemporary Art Exhibition "Arte Venezia" in 2025, the collaboration with the VERUM Center of Art and Culture, and the inclusion of his works within the renowned private collection Fuser. From artisan to hallmark of the Neo-Pop landscape, Sagrasse demonstrates how a lifetime of experience can transform into pure and recognized artistic expression.
Sagrasse is not simply an artist who uses resin; he is a master craftsman who has freed the technique from the constraint of function, putting it at the service of imagination. His works are colorful mirrors in which our society is reflected: pop, brilliant, ironic, and irresistibly modern.
Sagrasse’s work fits perfectly in the line of New Pop Art and Urban Art. If the association with Banksy is evident for the strong satirical charge, the irony, and the ability to reinterpret everyday icons or pop culture in a critical key, Sagrasse’s universe closely dialogues with other giants of the international scene such as Jeff Koons, KAWS, Takashi Murakami, Mr. Brainwash, Richard Orlinski.
The object is an exclusive Sagrasse creation.
It is an artisanal work, conceived and produced entirely in Italy. The small imperfections that may be found are the natural characteristic of completely manual workmanship.
It is recommended not to expose to heat sources; clean it without using detergents, but only with a soft cloth.
