Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born 1966) is an Marche-based artist whose life is rooted in artisanal mastery. For forty years he worked in the shadow of his workshop in a small municipality among the hills of the Marche region, specializing to the highest levels in resin processing, varnishing, and chrome-plating.
The turning point of his life arrives with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and the suspension of time become an emotional catalyst, pushing him to unleash the artistic urgency he had always kept inside. What for decades had been "only" a technique of excellence becomes the means to give life to modern, vibrant, and ironic pop sculptures. Today Sagrasse has transformed his artisanal know-how into a recognized language of contemporary art, proving that it is never too late to give voice to one’s most authentic talent.

In recent years his work has received important public and private recognitions, culminating in participation in prestigious exhibitions. Notable among these is the presence at the Contemporary Art Exhibition "Arte Venezia" in 2025, the collaboration with the VERUM Center for Art and Culture, and the inclusion of his works in the renowned Private Collection Fuser. From artisan to a hallmark of the Neo-Pop scene, Sagrasse demonstrates how a lifelong craft can transform into pure and recognized artistic expression.
Sagrasse is not simply an artist who uses resin; he is a master craftsman who has liberated the technique from functional constraints, putting it at the service of imagination. His works are colorful mirrors in which our society is reflected: pop, brilliant, ironic, and irresistibly modern.
Sagrasse’s work fits perfectly in the lineage of New Pop Art and Urban Art. While the reference to Banksy is evident for its strong satirical charge, irony, and ability to reinterpret icons of everyday life or pop culture in a critical light, Sagrasse’s universe closely dialogues with other giants of the international scene such as Jeff Koons, KAWS, Takashi Murakami, Mr. Brainwash, and Richard Orlinski.
The object is an exclusive Sagrasse creation.
It is a handcrafted work, conceived and produced entirely in Italy. The small imperfections that may be found are the natural characteristic of the workmanship.
