Description from the seller
Salvatore Pulvirenti (Acireale, 1999) is a Sicilian artist who graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts of Catania. His painting research is distinguished by a personal and instantly recognizable style, characterized by green backgrounds and scenes suspended between the paradoxical and the absurd, through which he explores the contradictions of the human condition.
White Chronicles (2026), realized in oil and pencil on canvas (90x60 + frame), addresses the theme of the alienation of man in the face of contemporary reality. The work stages a seemingly surreal situation that becomes a metaphor of immobility and the renunciation of action: a reflection on the moment when the individual, overwhelmed by events, chooses to observe rather than intervene.
Thanks to the symbolic language and the evocative power of the composition, White Chronicles invites the viewer to reflect on the relationship between consciousness, responsibility, and reality, confirming the artist's stylistic signature and the coherence of his research.
