Corina Dinu, Mirror, Divided, an original 2026 acrylic painting on canvas in Cubist style, signed and sold directly from the artist, measuring 85 × 90 cm and in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
Look long enough and you stop knowing which face is the reflection. Same closed eyes, same parted lips, same silence — except one side burns gold and rust, the other cools into green and petrol blue. A single silver line runs down the center, close enough to touch, wide enough to never let them merge completely.
Artist: Corina-Elena Dinu ("Corina Dinu"), Romanian, b. 1979
Title, year, medium: "Mirror, Divided," 2026, acrylic on canvas, palette knife and impasto technique
Dimensions:
Image size: 85 x 90 cm
Canvas size: 95 x 100 cm (extra 5cm margin on each side, intended for framing)
Framed size: N/A — sold unframed
Signature: Signed lower right, front, in acrylic
Edition: Unique work, not a print or edition — one of one
Provenance: Sold directly from the artist's studio
Documentation: Certificate of Authenticity included, signed by the artist, provided upon sale
Condition: Excellent, as created — no restoration, no damage, no fading
Shipping: Sent unframed, rolled in a rigid protective tube. Shipment is insured for full value and fully tracked, with tracking number provided upon dispatch.
I painted "Mirror, Divided" as a study of the person we become when we're seen — split, doubled, never quite the same twice. The two halves aren't opposites; they're variations, the way the same face looks different in morning light and evening light, in memory and in the moment. Thick ridges of acrylic catch that shift depending on where you stand in the room — the painting genuinely changes as you move.
I trained in Fine Arts and at the Istituto Marangoni, and my work has been sold through the Tate Gallery and Rippingham Art Gallery in London.
