Biography:
Arthur Rappl, a German watercolor painter and graphic artist, was born in 1904 in Nuremberg. He was a pupil of Rudolf Schiestl at the School of Arts and Crafts in Nuremberg (1920/25) and of Carl Kasper at the Academy in Munich (1925/31). He participated in numerous exhibitions, among others in Nuremberg and Munich. Rappl lived in 1946 in Kalchreuth near Nuremberg and died in 1968. (Thieme Becker)
