Quadro by the Veneto master Miro Romagna signed bottom right, dated and monogrammed on the back
Miro Romagna (Venice, 1927-2006) was an important post-impressionist and figurative painter from Veneto in the twentieth century. Trained with Neno Mori, he is known for his intense Venetian views, still lifes and portraits, characterized by textured, impasto painting and a vivid color palette. His artistic trajectory stood out from the start. He made his debut at only 15 years old in 1942. From 1949 he was a constant presence at the Bevilacqua La Masa exhibitions in Venice.
In 1956 he won the third prize at the prestigious Marzotto Prize.
Work accompanied by an authenticity certificate issued by Mutinense Art Studio Ltd.
The work comes from a purchase by the preceding owner directly from the artist.
