This painting is signed by Emma LAPASSOUZE, a renowned painter, interested in the movement of lyrical abstraction and the “Matiéristes.” Made from coffee grounds, this work explores the encounter between raw material and visual poetry. “Telluric Resonance” is a vertical tear, that of a earth that splits to release what it has contained since always. The vertically oriented format imposes an ascending reading: at the bottom, the brown and black matter gathers, dense and sedimentary, guardian of deep time. Then, halfway up, a fracture opens, white emerges, mineral and luminous, like a breath escaped from the bowels of the rock. At the very top, the composition flames with red and magenta, ancient warmth rising to the surface, a vestige of a combustion that the earth has never quite extinguished. The work, in perfect condition, arrived in a white American crate, with a CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY.
