Description
A splendid and richly textured abstract work by the Malagasian-Swiss artist Michel Péclard. The piece, entitled "Labyrinthe No. 2", is a unique composition created from painted fabric fragments in acrylic with color tones ranging from blue to earthy red to gray, organized like a collage. These textured elements are separated yet joined by a dark, bold, sinuous line that crosses the space, creating a visually geometric maze.
The work is mounted on a very high-quality paper support, as evidenced by the embossed stamp visible in the lower left corner: "SCHOELLERSHAMMER 4 G dick".
Provenance and Included Documentation
An exceptional added value of this lot is the historical material attached to the back of the frame:
Exhibition Catalog: The work is sold together with the original booklet of a solo exhibition held in March 1990 at "XTЯA - Verein für Kultur" (Zurich). The brochure cover reproduces the artwork exactly as in the auction.
Autographed Dedication: Inside the catalog there is a beautiful hand-written dedication in black ink: "Avec modestie & franchise, merci Freddy. Michel, 15 avril 1990, Yvonand".
Critical Text: The catalog includes the critical essay "Le coup d'œil et le tour de main" by Freddy Buache (to whom the dedication is presumably addressed), in addition to biographical notes and the artist’s exhibition resume (Milano Triennale, Rio Biennale, etc.).
Back: On the back of the panel, the original annotations, the title "Labyrinthe No. 2", the group "Groupe: Labyrinthe", the technique, dimensions, and the original archival catalog labels are clearly visible.

If the frame is visible in the photo, it is included in the lot as a pure gift on my part and is not part of the sale; it does not determine the value and, given its delicacy, it is not insured. Consequently, any existing flaws on the frame are not being reported and any damage to it during transport will not be considered for claims or returns.

Shipping and Customs Notes
The item will be shipped from Geneva, Switzerland. For this reason, delivery times to European Union countries may be slightly longer than usual due to standard customs procedures.

I also remind you that, since Switzerland is outside the EU customs area, import duties, local VAT, and customs duties are entirely the buyer’s responsibility and will be collected by your country’s authorities upon delivery. I recommend checking in advance to avoid surprises. Alternatively, if possible, in-person pickup in Geneva is the option I prefer and strongly recommend, as it eliminates shipping costs and ensures the utmost safety for the artwork. If shipping is chosen, I will do my best to package it to protect the painting during transit.
