Title: "In Passing"
Description:
Not everything that touches us lasts long. Some moments pass almost unnoticed by us and still leave a trace. "In Passing" tells of these fleeting encounters – of moments that last only a blink of an eye and yet set something in motion.
The powerful black lines appear as flowing movements that cross, move apart and come closer again. They convey the impression of speed and lightness at the same time, as if they captured a brief moment before it dissolves again. Between the dynamic forms there remains plenty of space – a space that invites the imagination and lets the eye wander.
The painting reminds us that life often consists of small, inconspicuous encounters. A glance, a memory or a feeling can arise in passing and linger long. It is precisely the ephemeral that sometimes holds the greatest power because it invites us to perceive the moment consciously and recognize its value.

The cracks in the painting are intentional.
They are not a sign of damage, but part of the artistic expression. The fractures belong to the surface as scars to the skin: they tell of tension, movement and the process itself. It is precisely through these cracks that the work gains depth and authenticity – nothing is smoothed, nothing hidden.
The canvas will be delivered rolled.
Christoph Prein is an Austrian artist known for his abstract and contemporary works, created mainly with acrylic paints. Originally from St. Margarethen near Knittelfeld, Prein’s pieces are often characterized by a minimalist, abstract style and are carefully crafted from high-quality materials to ensure vibrant colors and longevity. In his art he frequently incorporates themes such as identity, memory and the exploration of human emotions, often pushing the boundaries between the visible and the invisible.
Prein’s approach to art is multidimensional, combining painting with elements of sculpture and installation. This unique style has earned him recognition in Austria as well as internationally, with exhibitions across Europe, North America and Asia. His works often invite viewers to contemplate the complexity of the modern world and the deeper aspects of the human experience.
For a painting measuring 200 x 110 cm you need a stretcher frame of size 190 x 100 cm and a thickness of 2-4 cm.
You can then either simply stretch the canvas yourself or have it stretched by an artisan or gallery owner.
This is a handmade original, which is signed by the artist on the back and dated.
High-quality and lightfast acrylic paints have been used on a multi-primed gallery canvas.
Also, a varnish was applied to protect the work.
This work is handmade and therefore unique!
--- Authenticity certificate included ---
Beautify your private residence, law firm, practice or office and upgrade your spaces in an elegant and stylish way.
When a person goes into his innermost depths, into a sphere that rarely comes to light, into a space that remains mysterious and hidden, waiting to be discovered, tickled awake, even tormentingly upright, then art is born.
