Description from the seller

ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD EXISTS - EDITION 1/1

With this square-format work, Medsan pays direct tribute to Andy Warhol and the golden age of pop art, by rendering the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star as a color-saturated quadriptych. Four times the same iconic sneaker, four chromatic variations, in the serial logic that brought a consumer object into the museum.

The treatment adopts Warholian serigraphy vocabulary: flat blocks, visible halftone grid, clearly defined black outlines, and electric complementary color pairs (orange/pink fuchsia, yellow/blue, violet/acid green, turquoise/orange). The deliberately printed-worn finish, with eroded edges, cites the Factory prints of the 1960s. The cartouche メドサン closes the grid at the bottom right.

The work reprises Warhol's central gesture: repetition that transforms the banal into an icon. The Converse, the democratic shoe par excellence, worn by generations of musicians and artists, becomes here a subject of pop worship — a timeless cultural symbol elevated to the rank of artwork.

A pop and energetic piece, ideal for adding a colorful and joyful touch to a contemporary interior of a collector who loves pop art and sneaker culture.

About the Studio:
Atelier Joconde is a workshop of artists gathered around a living and plural contemporary creation. Established as a true site of artistic production, the studio operates both as collective creation and in individual approaches, depending on projects and works. Atelier Joconde is also a family venture. Le Yack, a contemporary figurative painter, develops a narrative and introspective body of work with cinematic and realistic influences. By his side, Medsan, oriented toward pop art painting, explores color, modern iconography and visual culture. Finally, Neo Pablo engages in a more instinctive search, blending abstract art, brut art and figurative abstraction. Each work is conceived, created and monitored within the studio, with a shared artistic standard and an identity unique to each artist.
