Medsan’s unique 40 × 40 cm giclée, signed by hand, titled Chun-Li Commute (春麗) - UNIQUE WORK, 1/1 edition, dated 2026, created in France, depicting Street Fighter’s Chun-Li in a Japanese metro setting in a pop art style.
Description from the seller
THERE EXISTS ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD - EDITION 1/1
With this square-format work, Medsan takes Chun-Li, the iconic heroine of Street Fighter, out of her arena of combat and plunges her into the most ordinary of settings: a Japanese subway car, a weekday evening, suspended by its handle like any passenger.
The treatment is that of an urban, nocturnal oil painting: broad, impastoed strokes, the city neon streaking in colored trails behind the windows, the harsh light of fluorescent tubes on the blue seats. The fighter keeps her blue and gold qipao, her spiked bracelets and red-striped ribbons — but at her feet, a simple tote bag betrays a completely banal life.
All the charm of the piece lies in this mismatch: the fighting icon, legendary legs and superhuman strength, reduced to the role of a tired suburb girl returning home. Medsan tenderly questions the off-screen life of our pixel heroes, this suspended moment where myth becomes human again.
A narrative and atmospheric piece, ideal for bringing a pop, cinematic touch to a contemporary interior of a collector who loves retro video games and urban scenes.

About the Studio:
Atelier Joconde is a studio of artists gathered around a living, plural contemporary creation. Set up as a genuine creative production space, the studio operates both in collective creation and individual approaches, depending on the projects and works. Atelier Joconde is also a family venture. Le Yack, contemporary figurative painter, develops a narrative and introspective work with cinematic and realistic influences. By his side, Medsan, oriented toward pop art painting, explores color, modern iconography, and visual culture. Finally, Neo Pablo is engaged in a more instinctive search, blending abstract art, brut art, and figurative abstraction. Each work is conceived, created, and followed within the studio, with a common artistic standard and an identity of its own for each artist.
