Two Bouffioulx earthenware objects from Belgium dating to 1960–1970, including a monumental teapot on a high pedestal, about 33 cm tall and 18 cm wide, in good used condition with minor signs of aging and spots.
Description from the seller
Monumental teapot on a pedestal from the well-known Belgian ceramic factory in Bouffioulx, produced around the 60s/70s.
This spectacular, handmade art object combines bold brutalist design with the rich Belgian ceramic tradition.
This is not an everyday teapot, but a monumental artwork on a tall, elegant plinth. The deconstruction of the classic teapot form makes it a pure modernist sculpture.
Beautiful Glaze: Executed in the iconic Bouffioulx style. The contrast between the sandy-colored base, expressive cobalt blue strokes and the deep-black accents on the spout, the handle and the foot gives the object enormous visual depth.
With an impressive height of about 33 cm, this piece is guaranteed to be the centerpiece of any room.
In excellent, original condition with no visible defects. A rare piece for the lover of Belgian art pottery and unique interior statements.
