Luciano Morterra, Le mie Bottiglie, oil on canvas, dated 1990, a single original work in 50 × 60 cm (76 × 85 cm with frame) sold with a Certificate of Guarantee and Authenticity.
Description from the seller
ARTWORK DESCRIPTION
Splendid and poetic original painting by the Italian painter Luciano Martone (born 1933), refined composition officially titled "Le mie bottiglie" and dated 1990. The work openly declares a deep and erudite homage to Giorgio Morandi's metaphysical painting: everyday objects (carafes, bottles and bowls) lose their practical use to become pure geometric volumes, immersed in a silent, rarefied and timeless atmosphere. The painting technique is characterized by chalk pastel tones, extraordinarily elegant in a decorative and furnishing sense.
