"La Concipiente" is a wall sculpture by Francioni Mastromarino.
In the course of their career Francioni Mastromarino have participated in prestigious international exhibitions, including:

“Moti dell’Anima” in Pontedera
“Looking for Monnalisa,” where they presented a monumental sculpture: the world’s largest portrait of Leonardo da Vinci – over 5 meters tall and about 4 meters in diameter – today acquired by Pavia and officially recognized as a civic monument.

This work is a secular altar, conceived to be displayed with ease thanks to a hook on the back and resistant even outdoors, thanks to durable and sustainable materials.
The work embodies the Woman Creator, capable of generating not only in the body but also in spirit and thought. In her, intuition, the ability to welcome and transform, emotional intelligence, and a deep understanding of the world are reflected. Her “nest,” which inspires the hairstyle in the sculpture, is a physical and symbolic place where ideas, emotions, and relationships intertwine, becoming new beginnings. The name “Concipiente,” from Latin con-capere, means “to take to oneself” and “to understand”: a double meaning that guides the inspiration of the work, which reflects on the female power to absorb, feel, and create connections, between interiority and the external world.
Signed in collaboration by Eleonora Francioni and Antonio Mastromarino, the work stems from an artistic and human partnership that has lasted more than twenty years, where artistic research is conceived in synergy.
Traditional techniques blend with a contemporary vision of form and symbol. The sculpture is made of acrylic resin mixed with rice husk (waste from the processing of pearl rice made into a resource and durable), mounted on an aluminum sheet. The choice of materials embodies the authors’ pursuit of concrete sustainability.
