Technical Detailed Description
Exceptional antique Lepine-style open-face pocket watch with a manual-wind mechanical movement "Gre Roskopf G.T. Patent", in its valued model "Cyrus". The lot is presented complete with its matching antique leontine chain. The total estimated weight of the set is between 100 and 130 grams.
Dial: Original white porcelain in truly pristine condition, completely clean, without a single hairline, restoration, or crack. It features a beautiful dual numbering: main Arabic numerals 1-12 in black and an outer peripheral 13-24 hour scale in a striking red.
Ornate gold hands in Louis XV style.
Marked with the inscriptions "Gre Roskopf G.T. Patent", "Cyrus" and the quality stamp "A.D 1ª" at the bottom.
Case: Nickel-ware with an approximate diameter of 48-50 mm. The back cover bears the official circular stamp engraved "Genre Roskopf Patent" with its iconic shield of the cross in the center. The exterior body shows a magnificent natural patina with small spots of very light surface oxidation on the back cover that attest to its age.
Movement: Manual-wind movement via crown in correct running order and smooth operation.
The internal mechanism has not been photographed to preserve the integrity of the case, as there are no professional tools to open it. The watch is closed, complete and functioning.
Leontine chain: Antique chain with stylized fantasy links, large waistcoat ring, and a clasp bearing the maker’s mark "G.M.D".
Chain length about 23-24 cm, reaching 30 cm total length when the set is attached.
