Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC shaped his artistic universe through his interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual research has turned into a passion that was meant to materialize.
XTC defines himself as a self-taught plastic artist, aligned with the Pop Art movement, through the détournement of contemporary consumer goods.
His creativity is expressed through bold staging of icons of popular consumption (such as McDonald’s, Malabar, Chupa), which he makes clash with the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermes, Veuve Clicquot champagne, or caviar) and Street Art, further blurring the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds.
He expresses his art through sculpture, merging painting with all kinds of resins, plastics, and sometimes minerals.
He draws inspiration, among others, from Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey, advertising and addictions in general.
All defects or imperfections are an integral part of the work.
HAND-FINISHED « Sculpture made for commercial purposes, hand-retouched by artist XTC using acrylic paints and vinyl. »
