Mediterralis is a collection of contemporary works inspired by Mediterranean landscapes seen as memories suspended between sky, sea and mineral matter. The name Mediterralis is a registered trademark with INPI. Each painting is a unique work, wholly handmade by JIEL, blending directed pouring techniques, sculpted textures, mineral reliefs, knife work and contemporary pictorial composition.

Jiel, a professional contemporary painter from the PACA region, impresses with his seemingly naïve style imbued with a childlike soul, an essential source of his creative universe. His works, far from faithful reproductions of reality, transform and distort the world to make it his own, playing on contrasts and marrying warm and cool colors to reach a temperature of 37 degrees.
