French grand 4/4 violin, stamped SAUNIER, dating to around 1880, with a single-piece flamed maple back, total length 591 mm, body length 363 mm, upper bout 173 mm, lower bout 210 mm, string length 328 mm, weight 440 g, wood construction, in very good physical condition and tested and functional, includes no extras.

Grand French violin full size (4/4) from the old Mirecourt, orange in color, with the iron brand "SAUNIER" dating to around 1880 and measuring 36.4 cm in length with a back in a single piece of maple.

Features: - rare back in a single piece of highly flame maple
- at the heel: iron brand "SAUNIER"
- the pegs and the fingerboard are ebony
- the tailpiece with its adjustable tuners is aluminum
- it has been perfectly restored, including the small crack under the right f-hole (visible in the last photo)
