French Favino Jazz 2A-type archtop guitar – 1960s
Beautiful French archtop guitar of Favino Jazz 2A type, dating from the 1960s.
This guitar comes from a family estate and belonged to my grandfather. It is sold as is and is completely original: period tuners, bridge, tailpiece and original hardware.
The instrument is in good overall condition considering its age, with a nice patina and normal signs of use that testify to its history. The guitar is perfectly playable, with a comfortable action. Only a slight fret wear on the A string around the 13th fret, with no major impact on playability.
It features a cutaway archtop body, F-shaped soundholes, a sunburst finish, an open headstock, a metal tailpiece and a floating bridge, characteristics of French archtops from this era.
No label or maker’s marking is present on the instrument. Attribution to a specific brand cannot therefore be confirmed.
The photos are an integral part of the description and allow appraisal of the general condition of this beautiful vintage French guitar.
