Description from the seller
Vintage opaline glass bowl with gold and silver flakes – circa 1950s–1960s
Beautiful hand-blown vintage bowl, made from opaline art glass in a stunning turquoise/blue color. The bowl features an elegant organic, undulating shape and is lavishly decorated with embedded gold and silver flakes (aventurine), creating a particularly sparkling and depth-enhancing effect when light passes through the glass.
The combination of the vibrant opaline color, the transparent rim, and the glittering metallic inclusions makes this bowl a striking example of Italian glass art craftsmanship from the mid-20th century. Thanks to its sculptural form, the object serves as both a functional fruit bowl and a decorative artwork.
Details:
* Period: ca. 1950–1960
* Material: Hand-blown opaline glass
* Decoration: Embedded gold and silver flakes (aventurine)
* Color: Turquoise/blue with clear transparent accents
* Condition: Excellent vintage condition, without chips, cracks, or restorations.
The brilliant light reflections and the unique play of gold and silver flakes make this bowl a true showpiece for collectors of Murano glass and Italian design.
