Description from the seller

Very beautiful and special stool. The stool dates from the 1950s or the early 1960s.

The seat is 2.9 cm thick, the height is 42.5 cm and the legs are 42 cm apart. The diameter of the seat is 32 cm. This means that the legs (4 cm wide and 2.2 cm thick) each protrude 5 cm beyond the seat. The wood has acquired a beautiful golden-brown color over time.
The legs are screwed directly into the seat, without pre-drilling holes. Therefore the crosspiece on the bottom is not perfectly straight. The screws used are pan-head screws with a slot. Each leg has two of these screws. The screws lie in a conical pre-drilled recess so they tuck a bit inward.

The stool is still particularly sturdy. You could put an elephant on it! It also still looks very good. Only minor signs of use are visible. On the seat there is a small groove (see photo). Probably someone once tried to saw something using the stool as support. You can repair this small groove, but it is not necessary; it adds a bit of the history of this stool.

You can still use the piece of furniture as a stool, but also as an end table or pedestal (see photos).
And of course, it is a very interesting conversation piece!!

The stool will be carefully packed and insured for shipping.

Seller's Story

I sell antique and vintage products. The items I sell are very diverse in nature; from lamps to side tables, from phones to wooden sculptures, from vintage kitchen equipment to Art Deco and Art Nouveau coat racks, and everything in between. The things I buy are usually objects that I personally like and that are of high quality. It sometimes takes effort to part with them! My expertise lies primarily in products from the 20th century. I ship in used boxes combined with paper filler material. The boxes are sturdy. Usually made of double-wall cardboard. I ship, unless otherwise agreed, always within two days of purchase. I attach great importance to friendly, decent and reliable contact with my buyers.
