Vintage cut crystal bonbonnière with a gilded metal mount – France.
Elegant vintage cut crystal bonbonnière of high quality, mounted in an elegant gilded metal frame. This piece is driven by its classic French-inspired design and the finesse of its execution. France, mid-20th century (circa 1950–1970).
The crystal bowl is richly decorated with diamond-point cutting, vertical flutes, and a superb radiating motif at the base, offering beautiful play of light. The wide gilded metal rim is adorned with decorative motifs shaped like grape leaves, bringing a refined and timeless touch to the whole.
The crystal is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or restorations. The gilded metal mount shows a lovely antique patina with light signs of use, small areas where the gilding has lost some of its original shine, and natural wear consistent with the object's age.
