Description from the seller
Superb porcelain vase from Rosenthal Studio-Linie, designed by James Kirkwood in Germany, in the 1970s–1980s.
This piece of modernist design features the geometric pattern 'Jericho Patchwork', composed of a grid of multicolored squares in pastel tones and deeper shades, delicately enhanced with touches of gold.
Its sculptural silhouette, with an oval body and a wide flared neck, perfectly illustrates the Mid-Century Modern and Space Age aesthetics characteristic of Rosenthal Studio-Linie creations from that period.
The base bears the Rosenthal Studio-Linie Germany mark, as well as James Kirkwood's printed signature.
Dimensions: 18 × 14 × 15 cm
Very good overall condition, with no cracks or chips. Minor signs of age or wear may be present, corresponding to the age of this artist's German porcelain and visible in the photographs.
