Luca Cartoonist, legally Luca Angelini, born in 1986, is an emerging artist in the pop art world. Always passionate about comics (Disney first and foremost), he graduates in advertising graphics from the Institute of Art in Ascoli Piceno and then completes his artistic studies by earning a degree in comics and illustration at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna.
Drawing and painting will continue to be part of his life despite a different (yet always artistic) career path, until 2020, when, during the pandemic, he decides to fully enter the world of pop art.
He mainly represents characters from the cartoon/comics world, adapting and placing them within current situations, often using iconic pop images from yesterday and today.
He mainly uses acrylic paints, spray cans, and mixed techniques of printing and collage on canvas.
Collaborations since 2021 with several Italian art galleries, he participates with his works in events such as ArtParmafair, BAF, and some group exhibitions (MilanoFashion & Art, Espressioni d'artista…).
