Luca Cartoonist, birth name Luca Angelini, born in 1986, is an emerging artist in the world of pop art. Always passionate about comics (Disney foremost), he graduates in advertising graphics at the Istituto d'arte di Ascoli Piceno and then completes his artistic studies by earning a degree in comics and illustration from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna.
Drawing and painting will continue to be part of his life despite a different career path (though always artistic), until 2020, when, during the pandemic, he decides to devote himself completely to the world of pop art.
He mainly represents characters from the cartoon/comics world, adapting them and placing them within current-day situations, often using pop icons from yesterday and today.
He mainly uses acrylic paints, spray cans, and mixed media techniques of printing and collage on canvas.
Since 2021, collaborations with several Italian art galleries have seen his works participate in events such as ArtParmafair, BAF, and some group exhibitions (MilanoFashion & Art, Espressioni d'artista…).
