Marco Corridoni presents an original unique artwork titled “FIXED Fontana - reversible - no. 17 / 100” (2026), a mixed media piece on canvas, leather and metal in blue, 30 by 60 cm, hand-signed, produced directly by the artist, depicting pop culture with a reversible cut inspired by Fontana.
Description from the seller
FIXED Fontana - reversible - no. 17 /100 (2026)
Oil painting on canvas, leather, metal
30x60cm
UNIQUE and ORIGINAL WORK
Piece number 17 of a numbered series of only 100 editions.
Special edition of the series "Fixed Fontana".
The cut is reversible: it can be opened or closed.
The artist takes inspiration from Lucio Fontana's spatial concepts to rewrite the history of art, through a manipulation of his artistic poetics, suspended between citation and desecration.
The cuts are sewn up, in a symbolic manner, to shorten space rather than "open" it.
Expectations are disappointed, almost as a protest against a way of doing and selling art that has little or nothing to do with originality and the essence of art itself.
The canvases are prepared in Fontana's manner and the cuts, rigorously made by the artist by hand, mimic those of the most famous works.
Each cut is fixed with a black canvas on the back, just as documented by Lucio Fontana: this gives stability to the work and an exquisite aesthetic effect.
Work signed on the back
Photographic certificate included
Frame available separately.
