David Law, Electronic Souls - Cher, 2026, a limited edition mixed-media artwork on aluminium (40 x 40 cm, 600 g), signed on the board, edition 1/8, produced in France, depicting Culture Pop.
Description from the seller
Photographer-Artist – Creator of contemporary imagery
Multidisciplinary photographic artist, author and musician, David Law develops work focused on gaze, presence, and the perception of the image in urban space. He first made a name for himself with a series devoted to shop display mannequins, integrated into the city through a subtle play of reflections and superpositions. This exploration of gaze and presence gave birth to an art book published in 2021. Later intrigued by the distinctive aesthetics of collectible dolls and Japanese figurines, he continues this reflection by staging them in the streets of Paris and other European capitals. Through framing, light, and composition, these inanimate models acquire a troubling, almost living presence, questioning our relationship to illusion and projection.
New series – Fragment of Memory - Electronic Souls
Thousands of electronic components, processors, resistors, capacitors, and printed circuits come together to give birth to faces that have become universal. Each portrait evokes the way our collective memory is shaped by technology today. Fragments of machines compose a new humanity.
Edition & Fabrication
Each work is offered in a limited edition of 8 numbered copies plus 4 artist’s proofs (A.P.), signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The prints are produced on aluminum with an integrated back mount. Printed on luminous white vinyl, mounted between two aluminum plates, with a soft UV- and humidity-resistant laminate, guaranteeing excellent durability, long-term resilience, color stability, and a modern, contemporary look.
Parcours
Since 2014, David Law has participated in around twenty contemporary art fairs per year in France and Europe. He is also the appointed photographer and videographer for several organizers of contemporary art fairs. Parallel to his visual activity, he develops authorial and musical work including 3 novels, a collection of short stories, a graphic novel, a photo book, and 5 self-produced CDs. A singer-guitarist, he currently performs with the band FRENZY.
