Description:
Up for sale is an exclusive collectible from Cartier: An original pair of sunglasses from the legendary “Edition Santos-Dumont” with the elegant, removable leather accent on the bridge.
The gilded frame is in flawless, scratch-free condition and has been treated with extreme care. The glasses come as a complete "Full Set" with all original accessories (box, case, and booklet).
Note about the lenses:
The lenses are 100% original. There are no deep scratches on the lenses. Over the years, due to gentle aging cleaning, the fine reflective coating (flash coating) on the lenses has partially worn off.
Important: When wearing the glasses, this is visually invisible from the inside and does not affect vision or comfort in any way.
To ensure absolute transparency, this effect has been attempted to be shown in direct light in the last photos.
Since these are the original first-generation lenses, they were intentionally not replaced in order to preserve the authentic vintage character of the Full Set. The future owner can wear the glasses exactly as they are in their original condition or have the lenses replaced at an optician according to their preference.
An absolute highlight for any Cartier and vintage collection.
