Gaetano Bocchetti (1888-1990) was a Neapolitan painter of great versatility, whose artistic career developed through several pictorial currents of 20th century Italy. Trained at the Naples Academy of Fine Arts, Bocchetti participated in the main national and international exhibitions, including the Venice and Rome Biennials, distinguishing himself for his ability to range from landscape to figure painting with exceptional mastery. Bocchetti’s paintings are particularly appreciated by collectors of 20th-century Italian art and by enthusiasts of the Neapolitan school.
