In The Last Vision the gaze is withdrawn so that a different form of knowledge can emerge. The bandage does not represent a lack, but a choice: that of suspending judgment to listen to what normally remains invisible.
The figure presents as a silent presence, suspended between contemporary portrait and archetypal image. The vegetal crown, composed of shapes recalling stars and leaves, suggests a nature that is not mere decoration, but a symbol of transformation, memory and rebirth. The turquoise veil descends like a luminous water, enveloping the face and creating a balance between painterly matter and spiritual dimension.
The work belongs to the artistic research of Nush Menna, who investigates the relationship between identity, perception and interiority through figurative painting with a strong symbolic framework. The realism of the face dialogues with evocative elements that invite the observer to slow down, contemplate and personally complete the meaning of the image.
Rather than offering an answer, The Last Vision poses a question: how much of what we see truly depends on the eyes, and how much on the consciousness that watches?
Each work of the artist is born as a unique piece, the result of a pictorial research entirely handmade. There are no copies or authorized prints of this painting.
