Hand-carved wooden pipe made of briar wood (heath briar wood) from Saint-Claude, France (Jura region). Woodpecker's head with detailed feather carving, glass eyes, and marked in the beak. There are light signs of use inside the pipe but the mouthpiece is clean and looks almost unused. A top piece dating from somewhere between 1910 and 1950. To let the design stand out nicely, the pipe is placed on a solid hard wooden pedestal (7 x 6.5 x 5 cm) from which it can be removed.

Handgesneden houten pijp van Bruyere hout ( heidepolshout) gemaakt in Saint Claude Frankrijk ( Jura gebied). Spechten kop met gedetailleerd  veren snijwerk, glazen ogen en gemerkt in de snavel. Er zijn lichte sporen van gebruik binnen in de pijp maar het mondstuk is schoon en ziet er nagenoeg ongebruikt uit. Een topstuk gemaskt ergens tussen 1910 en 1950. Om het ontwerp mooi uit de laten komen is de pijp geplaatst op een massief hard houten voetstuk ( 7 X 6,5 X 5 cm) waar hij zo van af genomen kan worden.
