Maureen Bachaus’s assemblage titled 'Will you come for me?' is an acrylic assemblage in beige, black, white and green, measures 74.5 by 63.5 cm, dates to the 2000–2010 period, is hand-signed, in excellent condition, and is durably framed in a high‑quality baklijst with glass and accompanied by a conservation certificate; provenance Galerie Wansink and sold directly by the artist.
Description from the seller
Assemblage in which several unique objects, combined with acrylic painting, form a narrative composition. The work belongs to a series that originates from a series of artistic walks, during which an object found on the walk served as the starting point for the artwork. The key object here is a postcard, on which in Dutch the question is written: "Kom je me halen?"
Dually framed in a high-quality display frame with glass at the front, with a conservation certificate.
Provenance: Gallery Wansink.
Due to the glass pane — and the risk of damage — collection in person is also possible. In connection with shipping, the front will be provided with a protective layer, and the work will be shipped insured.
Maureen Bachaus tells stories by connecting images, materials and techniques. She is represented by galleries in Belgium, Germany and France, and her work has been presented, among others, at SCOPE BASEL Art Fair, Art Rotterdam, BIO50 24th Biennale Slovenia and Dokufest International Film- and Documentary Festival. Education: Academy of Fine Arts Maastricht (NL), Conceptual Post-graduate Academy, Amsterdam (NL), and EUI (Florence, IT).
