Description from the seller
Arthur Dinu (Romanian) – Summer Wind Oil on canvas, 40 × 50 cm Signed by the artist (lower right)
Description Summer Wind is a vibrant, atmospheric oil painting by Romanian artist Arthur Dinu. The canvas captures a sun-drenched coastal scene rendered in a lyrical, semi-abstract idiom: a wide turquoise sky meets a deep blue sea, while the foreground dissolves into a sandy shore scattered with bold, gestural strokes of coral, vermilion, amber, and rose. The loose, expressive brushwork suggests petals, shells, or fragments of color lifted and carried by the breeze—giving the work its title and its unmistakable sense of movement.
Dinu balances representation and abstraction with confidence. The horizon is calm and expansive, but the surface of the painting is alive: thick impasto accents, drifting kite-like forms, and calligraphic lines animate the composition. The palette is warm and ochres against cool ceruleans and aquamarines—evoking the heat, light, and fleeting sensations of a summer day by the ocean.
This original, unframed oil on canvas is in excellent condition, with bright, stable colors and no visible damage. It is signed by the artist in the lower right corner and comes directly from the artist’s studio.
A fresh, joyful work that would bring light and color to any contemporary interior.
