27 cm Faenza maiolica decorative plate by Poggi of Faenza, Italy, dating to the 1950s, in excellent condition with minimal signs of use; features a Renaissance-inspired central female profile with an elaborated hairstyle and period garments, and a richly floral, scalloped border in cobalt blue, saffron yellow, ochre and green copper, with a hand-painted Poggi Faenza mark on the back and the original hanging hole in the foot.

Splendid decorative plate in glazed maiolica, crafted by the historic Poggi manufactory of Faenza (Italy), a world-class excellence in artistic ceramics.
The piece dates from the mid-20th century (circa 1950–1960) and represents a masterful example of the revival of Italian Renaissance styles.
At the center stands a refined female profile inspired by the quattrocento (the famous decoration of the "Belle"), characterized by an elaborately styled hair and period clothing meticulously painted.
The rim is richly adorned with floral motifs and a "scartoccio" pattern in classic Faentine polychromy: cobalt blue, saffron yellow, ochre, and copper green.
On the back it bears the hand-painted mark "Poggi Faenza." The original hanging hole is present in the foot of the plate.
Diameter: 27 cm, the object is presented in excellent condition.
