Large Capodimonte-style porcelain openwork display vase with mythological scenes – circa mid-20th century
Description:
Beautiful, large and highly detailed porcelain vase / potpourri vase executed in the distinctive Capodimonte neo-baroque/rococo style.
The vase is richly decorated with openwork (ajour) latticework, gilded accents and polychrome painted relief panels in which romantic and mythological figures are depicted in a classical landscape. Thanks to its substantial size and detailed craftsmanship, this is a striking eye-catcher.
Material:
Porcelain (hand-painted and gilded with gold gilding/ gilded details).
Condition:
In very good vintage condition with light, normal signs of age and use. No major cracks, breaks or visible restorations. (Note: view the photos carefully for a full impression; they are expressly part of the description).
