Jan Kelderman (Edam, 18 March 1914 - Amsterdam, 1990) was an Amsterdam trader and impressionist painter, who sold his works himself and lived from their proceeds.
He sold his paintings to businesses, at exhibitions and markets, in hotels and in his regular café, and painted mainly Amsterdam and Paris cityscapes, seascapes, floral still lifes, mountain landscapes and winter landscapes.
His accessible style and entrepreneurial spirit made him popular with private individuals, although formal recognition by museums remained absent. He lived and worked mainly in Amsterdam, where he died in 1990.
