Description from the seller
We are putting up for sale an elegant table clock or travel clock from the prestigious Swiss manufacturer Swiza.
This model with authentic charm stands out for its finely crafted brass case, adorned with ornamental details and a decorative handle typical of the Rococo style.
The white lacquered dial with Roman numerals, protected by a domed glass, gives it a classic and refined aesthetic that will appeal to collectors.
This mechanism is equipped with a manual-wind mechanical movement as well as an alarm function.
Esthetic state:
Magnificent visual condition for its age. The brass shows a beautiful uniform patina, the dial is legible and the glass is in good condition (refer to the photos for a precise view).
Functioning:
· Winding: We have not managed to wind the mechanism. It is very likely that the winding key is missing.
· Operation: Consequently, we are not able to test either the movement or the alarm. Although we believe the overall mechanism works (no major mechanical issues apparent), we cannot guarantee it in any case. The item is therefore sold as is, as described, with no guarantee of operation.
Power reserve information:
The platform requires us to provide a data point on this. We have indicated a power reserve of 8 days, which is standard for this type of Swiza movement. However, this information is given purely as indicative, with no certainty, since we could not wind the clock to verify it.
Dimensions without the handle: 10×7.5×3.5 cm
Weight: 470 g
A few words about the SWIZA brand:
Since its creation at the beginning of the last century, Swiza has been the largest manufacturer of small clocks in Switzerland. Today an iconic name in the world of haute horlogerie, the brand strives to create high-end, aesthetically pleasing and reliable timepieces. The result of ancestral know-how in watchmaking and a quest for perfection in design, Swiza models have become true classics. As with the Loupe, Classic, Linea D’Oro, and Nomade Business collections, Swiza carriage clocks convey the sense of being able to master time, to detach from its hold. Crafted from noble, precious materials, the brand’s creations remain simple, discreet, and effective.
