Every surface changes over time. It is touched, pressed, and drawn on – not only by what is visible, but also by what works unseen. "Abrieb" picks up exactly this idea. The powerful black traces feel like signs of a path that is not straight, but arises from rubbing, movement, and change.

The circular gestures and rugged textures tell of energy that has been inscribed. Some lines appear determined, others dissolve almost again. This very interplay gives the painting its liveliness. It shows that traces do not only signify loss, but also expression of development and experience.

Between the deep black and the open white areas a tense dialogue arises. The unspoken has as much room as the visible. Thus the painting invites the viewer to let the gaze wander beyond the surface and to discover in the fine nuances what becomes visible only with time.

Biographie:
My name is Sandra Glaser and I live in Trofaiach in beautiful Styria, where I have created a lovingly designed studio – a place where I can dive completely into my colors, shapes, and thoughts.
Already as a child I was fascinated by the world of art. This enthusiasm has never left me – it accompanies me to this day and inspires me anew again and again. On journeys and while visiting numerous exhibitions in Europe I was able to collect many artistic impressions that have shaped my view of painting.
My preferred form of expression is abstract acrylic painting on canvas. In my works I deal primarily with feelings, inner states, landscapes, and fantasy worlds. It is about making visible what cannot be said – emotions, moods, and interstices that are often expressed only through color and movement.
I paint out of passion. It is for me an intuitive process where authenticity and depth are central. Each work is a piece of myself – an impulse, a memory, a look inward and outward at the same time.

For a painting with the dimensions 160 x 130 cm you need a cradle frame sized 150 x 120 cm and a thickness of 2-4 cm.

You can then either simply stretch the canvas yourself or have it stretched by an artisan or gallery professional.

This is a handmade original, signed by the artist on the back and dated to the year.

High-quality and lightfast acrylic colors were used on a multiple times white-primed gallery canvas.

A varnish was also applied to protect the work.
