This vibrant oil painting, executed with a textured impasto technique, captures an urban scene from an open window framed by lime green shutters. On the sill sits a calico cat (three-color: white, black and orange), looking directly at the viewer with an alert yet serene pose. The window acts as a frame for a panoramic view of a historic district, where buildings in terracotta and orange tones, with metal sheet and terracotta roofs, extend under a deep blue sky. In the background, a prominent architectural dome stands out, possibly part of a church or historic building.
