Curt Brückner (1896-1971) - Historische Staats- oder Verwaltungsszene

Up for sale is a decorative original oil painting on a wooden panel with a historical interior scene in an elaborately decorated, Baroque-styled wooden frame.

The painting shows a detailed scene with three figures in 18th-century historical clothing, a desk with a quill, books, a globe and other period-typical furnishings. The finely crafted depiction and the high-quality execution make the work a striking centerpiece.

On the back there is an appraisal confirming that it is an original oil painting and not a copy. There is also a note referring to the Berlin artist Curt Brückner (1896–1956). The painting also bears a signature, whose legibility is apparent in the photos. However, I cannot make a final art-historical attribution.
