Epiphone Les Paul Standard – Made in Korea (Unsung) – August 2000 with hard case
Splendid Epiphone Les Paul Standard produced in the historic Unsung plant in South Korea in August 2000 (serial U00081226), one of the series most appreciated by enthusiasts for its superior build quality compared to many later productions.
The guitar is in excellent cosmetic and functional condition, with normal and very slight signs of age compatible with the instrument’s age. The neck is comfortable and smooth, the fretboard with trapezoid inlays is in excellent condition and the frets are still well preserved.
The instrument is fully ready to use: it offers great sustain, the typical Les Paul character, and a warm, solid tone, ideal for rock, blues, hard rock and related genres.

For complete accuracy toward the buyer, one purely aesthetic detail is noted: the previous owner, who always kept the guitar with meticulous care, as documented by the photographs, in an attempt to replace the original truss rod cover with one bearing the word “Custom” (despite being a Standard model), caused a slight chip at the position of one truss rod cover screw. The flaw was subsequently expertly repaired by our luthier, with an aesthetically high-level result.
All instruments that leave our luthier’s shop are carefully checked, adjusted and finished to be delivered in the best possible cosmetic, functional and sonic condition.
The Unsung Korean Epiphone from this period are today increasingly sought after by collectors and players for their excellent build quality and reliability over time.
