This is a handmade ceramic vase by the artist Thomas Buxó, a well-known potter who was active mainly in the 1960s, 70s and 80s between Spain and France. The vase is immediately recognizable by the engraved signature "Buxó" on the underside of the body. His work is characterized by a modernist, abstract style. This specific piece combines a glossy dark (almost black) glaze on the top that organically drips downward over a contrasting ground with warm, earthy terracotta, brown, and ochre colors.

Dit is een handgemaakte keramische vaas  van de kunstenaar Thomas Buxó, een bekende keramist die vooral in de jaren 60, 70 en 80 actief was tussen Spanje en Frankrijk. De vaas is direct herkenbaar aan de ingegraveerde signatuur "Buxó" aan de onderzijde van de buik. Zijn werk typeert zich door een modernistische, abstracte stijl. Dit specifieke exemplaar combineert een glanzend donker (bijna zwart) glazuur aan de bovenkant dat organisch naar beneden druipt over een contrasterende ondergrond met warme, aardse terracotta-, bruin- en okerkleuren.
