The board shows an impressive collection of dozens of different seaman’s knots, splices and maritime techniques. Each knot is laid with precision and fixed to the board. See the close-up photos for the fine finishing.
The knots are made of authentically looking rope. They are mounted on a sturdy, beautifully grained wooden plank with a warm glow.
The plank is finished on the outside with an ornamental, glossy copper rim, which gives the whole a chic, classic appearance.
The board has a unique, asymmetrical shape, a so-called sword. (A sword is a part of a sailing vessel that has no keel).
Nice detail: there is a small rope ladder and a mini barrel attached to the board.
