Mru.gru (*Julia Słomińska 1972 Szczecin/Poland) is a contemporary artist whose work is rooted in the tradition of the 20th century. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
The artist's works are characterized by a personal way of looking at the heritage of great masters, attention to detail and meaning. A distinctive feature of her art is keen observation of the world, events and contexts. The author does not close the reality depicted in the paintings, ensuring that the viewer fills in their own story. A fascination with old works of art shapes the artist’s exceptionally meticulous approach to technique and the quality of the work.
