Description from the seller
Interesting men's watch Aureole Swiss Made, datable approximately between the late 1960s and the first half of the 1970s.
The piece stands out for the distinctive brown-bronze dial with a geometric interwoven-looking pattern, an original and characterful finish that shifts tone with the light. The dial features applied indices, baton hands with luminous material, and a date window at 3 o'clock with red numerals.
The cushion-shaped case is made of metal with a gold-tone finish and preserves the proportions and design characteristic of 1970s watchmaking.
The steel case back bears the inscriptions “Stainless Steel Back”, “Antimagnetic”, “Swiss Made”, “Incabloc” and “Waterresistant”, as well as the code 718 C.
The watch is powered by a mechanical Swiss Made movement with 17 jewels and the Incabloc anti-shock system.
On the dial there is the marking “T Swiss Made T”, related to the luminescent material of tritium originally used on the hour markers and hands.
The piece is in excellent condition. The brown strap is a later replacement and is not declared original.
A vintage Swiss timepiece with strong 1970s character, particularly interesting for the cushion shape, the date with red numerals, and the unusual three-dimensional finishing of the dial.
In working order.
