BIOGRAPHY OF JOAN SERRA MELGOSA (Lleida, 1899 - Barcelona, 1970)

Joan Serra Melgosa, trained at La Llotja in Barcelona, had as his teacher Francesç Labarta.

After brief stays in Madrid, Paris and Barcelona, he settled definitively in Barcelona in 1927 and frequently exhibited at Sala Parés.

There are works of his in the Museum of Modern Art.

His last period was the painting of landscapes of the main mountain towns of Catalonia.
