Description from the seller
Spectacular and dynamic free-form centerpiece made of solid clear crystal, from the prestigious Belgian crystal works Val Saint Lambert. A true masterpiece of 1950s-1960s glass art, this piece stands out with its fluid, organic design capturing the frozen motion of a wave or a stylized wing in mid-flight. The hot-worked execution creates striking asymmetrical reliefs and deep ridges converging toward a central domed roundel, offering exceptional light refractions that will elevate any interior (a piece so sculptural it commands attention even if you forget to fill it with fruit). Unsigned on its flat base, as was standard for many free-blown studio creations from this series, it proudly displays its original burgundy paper factory label, undisputedly guaranteeing its noble heritage. The object remains in good vintage condition, retaining remarkable clarity and brilliance despite some honest signs of surface wear and light friction scratches underneath the base consistent with its age. Regarding specifications, this centerpiece features an impressive length of 42 cm, a width of 22 cm, stands 10 cm tall, and carries a substantial weight of approximately 2300 g. A timeless and elegant work of art, perfect for dressing a modernist sideboard or anchoring a fine dining table. Please study the photographic plates carefully as they form an essential part of the description. The lot will be securely packed with professional protective materials and shipped with full track and trace tracking.
