In Porto Sicuro I wanted to tell the moment of return. After months at sea, storms, and distance, the sailor finally finds his true haven: the embrace of the beloved woman.
I depicted him holding the female figure, wrapped in a vivid red dress, the color of passion and life. The large gilded mirror is not merely a scenic element: it is the silent witness to this reunion, doubling and rendering eternal that gesture.
For me Porto Sicuro is much more than an embrace: it is the representation of that refuge every man seeks after the storm, and which only true love can offer.
