The back-turned silhouette in the foreground creates immediate complicity with the viewer: we are sitting there too, among the crowd, watching the sun fade. The thick, swirling brushwork of the sky, the twinkling lamps and glasses recall Van Gogh’s nocturnal terraces, but here everything remains warm and full of living light. Trained at Atelier Joconde alongside his father, the international neo-realist Le Yack, and his brother Medsan, he has transformed the family heritage into a quest for raw freedom. In just three years, he has imposed a strong visual signature: a nervous technique that intertwines with the play of materials and lights. Atelier Joconde is a workshop of artists united around vivid, plural contemporary creation.
